Mistake #1 – Training Like a Roided-Up Bodybuilder …

Chest days, back days and leg days are for the idiot meatheads who think they’re taking their training seriously, but never actually make any progress. Look at most of the guys you see in the gym, they look the same all the time!!

    Nope. It’s been said the best time to start a proper Strength & Conditioning plan is in your early teens, and the second best time is right now!
    I would agree with this statement and further back it up by stating that at some levels it’s not uncommon for players to reach their peak in their 40s! The programming is designed to make you more conditioned and athletic than ever before.

  • q-iconI’m new to rugby, will this help my game?

    Absolutely. Being the best athlete you can be will always help you in a hectic sport like rugby and whilst it will not replace time that you need developing your skillset, tactics and knowledge, it is going to put you in the best place to improve on those aspects of the game.

  • q-iconDoes Team Rugby Muscle need a big time commitment?

    Nope! Many conventional training programs ask so much from you that you’re almost doomed from the start! Team Rugby Muscle is not a “fixed program” and is designed to work around your schedule and even your rugby training if need be. We do ask for a minimum of 3 sessions a week that you can usually commit to the gym, if you have more time – great! But it won’t be forced upon you.

    Team Rugby Muscle programming is designed to be done in the most basic of gyms. You are never required to use anything fancy at all, just some basic weights and your own body is all you really need. If you do have access to equipment like medicine balls, sleds, machines and other objects, you’ll still have the ability to take advantage of all of that… but it’s not required!

    Most people waste a lot of time in their gym, multiple sets of minimally effective training, targeting the same body-parts/systems and get nowhere.
